Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge visits the Caerphilly Family Intervention Team (FIT), as royal patron of 'Action For Children'. The service helps children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, problems with family relationships and those who have or are likely to self-harm. ‘Action for Children’ work directly with families to help understand the reasons behind certain behaviour and using creative techniques tailored to meet individual needs.
The Duchess took over the role of royal patron from the Queen in December 2016. After her visit to the children's charity the Duchess made time to say hello and receive flowers from the people and children that had waited outside in rain. Storm Doris was on it's way to the UK, gale force weather conditions were already affecting parts of Wales, the Duchess held her skirt down as she departed clutching flowers from local well wishers.
